Alasdair Roberts is a Glasgow based musician who works with traditional songs and ballads from Scotland and beyond. I was honoured to have him interpret Alexander Scott’s ‘Depairte’ for this project. The resulting arrangement uses guitar and voice to create an intimate performance capturing the sorrow of the ‘Maister of Erskine’s’ lament.
Arranged and performed by Alasdair Roberts.
Recorded at Green Door Studio by Samuel Smith.
Mixed by Kris Pohl at Post Electric Studio.
